Special Conditions

• Guest arrival for evening events is from 6.30pm
• Availability for daytime events is limited to the Lecture Theatre and Harbour View Room
• The Australian Museum is strictly a smoke-free and vaping-free venue
• Photography is generally for private use only - please discuss any commercial photography requirements with AM Events

To protect the Australian Museum and its collection of significant historical value, there are some event limitations. For example:

• Flash photography, amplification, dancing and anything that causes vibration is limited or not possible in some spaces
• Nothing may be attached or anchored to any element of the building
• Drones, balloons, confetti, rice, theatrical haze, and aerosols (or similar) are not permitted in the Museum
• The use of organic materials (including flowers) must be pre-approved and materials need to be sprayed with pest treatment on arrival
